Monday Devin and I went and bought a bunch of plants and plant containers
(and got some sweet deals) in order to spruce up what used to be the sea of
concrete we called our back patio. I haven't been able to get around to planting
anything just yet because its been raining all week but hopefully as soon as it
clears up I'll get a chance to get it all set up and take some more pictures. I threw
up the lights in haste the other day just to make BBQing a little more pleasant but
I think we're going to order some of those large bulb outdoor string lights and put
a couple of strips of them from the house to the carport/shed thing above the patio
where the other lights are now. I can't remember half the things we got right now
but I did find a half whiskey barrel that I'm going to turn into a little pond with some
gold fish. Which I'll hopefully have almost ready to go by the end of the day tomorrow.
Also a friend gave me a little japanese maple that I'll keep out there for now.

We have been having these awesome lightning storms. Maybe its because
I'm from California and we really don't get these out there, but whenever they
happen here I get really excited and have to run out to the porch to watch.

so at work today sometime between 10 and 1 when I went out to my car for lunch someone got underneath my car and cut out my catalytic converter. I started it up and it was really loud, poked my head underneath and there were to clean cuts like with a saws all and no catalytic converter. wtf?

We're moving to Baltimore! I'm very excited. The first time we went to visit I fell in love and with the research I've been doing on it I just get more and more excited about the move there. How did I not know about this city sooner? Its like Portland with out the complete slacker mentality, and about the same cost of living. There is also a good deal of diversity there(I used to think California was diverse however I now think its probably one of the most white washed states in the country) Plus whats not to love about a city that has embraced John Waters as their local hero?
All you friends of mine out there in San Francisco, Portland, Austin, and those other places you thought were the greatest... Please just forget that shit and come join me in Baltimore, you'll thank me later.
